Based on your connection, there may be an Overturo site better suited to you — your data would be stored in United States.

A receipt for every decision — including the ones made in someone else's form

When you decide something through Overturo, you get a receipt: the exact wording you saw, when, and under what terms, signed so that nobody can change it afterwards. You keep it; anyone can check it.

Where a receipt comes from

  • A decision you made on an Overturo page — a consent, an approval, a signature.
  • A consent you gave inside an organisation's own form. The organisation recorded it with Overturo; Overturo then wrote to you with the wording as published and the organisation named.
  • A consent delivered by a form platform the organisation uses. The receipt says the platform delivered it.

What it proves — and what it does not

Overturo proves when the decision was recorded, which wording was in force, who attested it and that nothing has changed since; for a record an organisation captured in its own form, Overturo does not vouch that the control was shown unticked; for a record captured through the Overturo field, Overturo rendered the control, showed it unticked and recorded the person's own change, and does not vouch for what the page placed around it.

In plain words: Overturo can prove when you decided, which wording was in force and that nothing changed since. When an organisation captured your consent in its own form, Overturo cannot see how that form showed the box. When the box was the Overturo field, it can: it rendered the control, showed it unticked and recorded your change.

What you can do

Withdraw
Any consent, any purpose, any time, without giving a reason. The organisation is told.
Change one thing, keep the rest
Withdraw one purpose and keep another, or object to one — from your records, the link in your email, the link in your receipt, or the organisation's own mailing tool. A choice made there reaches the record, and the record says who acted.
Say it was not you
"This was not me" withdraws the consent, detaches the record from any account of yours and tells the organisation.
Claim an account, or not
The receipt works either way; an account lets you see every decision in one place.

Check it yourself

Paste a receipt into the record debugger. It verifies on your device; the receipt never leaves the page.

Questions

Why did Overturo email me?
An organisation recorded a consent you gave, and Overturo holds the receipt for you. The email names the organisation and links to the record.
I never visited Overturo. Why do I have a receipt?
You do not have to visit. The organisation sent the decision and your email address so the receipt could reach you. If the record is not yours, say so from the link in the email.
How long are my details kept?
For a consent with a declared duration, until that duration ends plus a short window to claim the record; otherwise as the privacy policy describes.
Is the organisation's form made by Overturo?
Usually not. The form is the organisation's. The small "Recorded by Overturo" mark tells you who holds the receipt.
